1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Notiz, a service provided by Scoggins Technologies, LLC. By creating an account or using Notiz, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Notiz. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and are legally able to enter into these Terms.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for maintaining the security of your account. You may not impersonate another person, create an account for someone else without permission, or use Notiz for unlawful or deceptive purposes.
4. How Notiz Works
Notiz is designed to help users determine whether interest may be mutual after noticing one another in real-world locations.
Notiz may use check-ins, self-descriptions, descriptions of people noticed, communication preferences, and other information to identify potential mutual connections.
Notiz does not guarantee that any description, match, connection, or interaction is accurate or that any user will respond or choose to communicate.
5. User Conduct
You agree to use Notiz respectfully and lawfully. You may not use the service to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, exploit, deceive, or harm another person.
You may not submit content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative, fraudulent, or intended to facilitate harmful or illegal activity.
6. Safety and Real-World Interactions
Notiz may help facilitate introductions, but Scoggins Technologies does not control users or their conduct outside the app.
You are responsible for exercising appropriate judgment when choosing whether, when, and how to interact with another person. You should respect another person's boundaries and immediately discontinue contact when requested.
7. Blocking and Reporting
Notiz provides tools that may allow users to block or report other users. We may review reports and take action that we determine is appropriate, including restricting or terminating access to the service.
8. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to Notiz. By submitting content, you grant Scoggins Technologies permission to process, store, display, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve Notiz.
You are responsible for the content you submit and must have the right to provide it.
9. Privacy
Your use of Notiz is also subject to the Notiz Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared.
10. Notifications
If you enable notifications, Notiz may send you notifications relating to account activity, Notiz interactions, connections, messages, safety, or service updates. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.
11. Service Availability
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue features of Notiz as the service evolves. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
12. Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Notiz if we reasonably believe a user has violated these Terms, created a safety risk, abused the service, or engaged in unlawful activity.
You may delete your account through the Notiz app.
13. Intellectual Property
Notiz, its software, branding, design, features, and other materials provided by Scoggins Technologies are owned by or licensed to Scoggins Technologies and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
14. Disclaimer
Notiz is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that users are who they claim to be, that descriptions are accurate, or that interactions will be safe, successful, or appropriate.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scoggins Technologies will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of Notiz or interactions with other users.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Notiz evolves. When material changes are made, we may provide notice through the app or by other appropriate means and update the date shown at the top of these Terms.
